In support of this year's Test Your Smoke Alarm Day last week, the Lucan Biddulph Fire Department is holding their own Smoke Alarm & Carbon Monoxide Blitz!
As part of the blitz, the Fire Department will be visiting local neighbourhoods throughout Lucan on Tuesday, October 8TH from 7-8pm. Volunteer firefighters will be taking to the streets to knock on doors and help residents check their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
The goal of this initiative is to improve life safety in the event of a fire or carbon monoxide emergency, while also satisfying one of the Community Risk Reduction initiatives identified in the Lucan Biddulph Fire Master Plan. Keeping the public aware and
informed on their safety needs and requirements is the primary objective of this campaign.
Firefighters will work in teams to cover as many homes as possible during this time. It is tthe hope to make this campaign an annual undertaking, ensuring all areas of Lucan are covered
in a timely manner. We thank you for your on-going support and cooperation. Feel free to reach out to the Fire Department or the Township Office directly if you have any concerns or questions.
